THE BEST ISLAND HOPPING
All aboard the SL tour bus!
NUSCHI MARTYNOV knows the grid like the back of his hand – which is pretty lucky seeing as he's a tour bus driver!
So take your seat and enjoy his journey to some of the best undiscovered spots in Second Life:
DEAR passengers, this is your bus driver speaking. I would like to welcome you aboard for our SL island tour.
First of all I’d like to thank the guys who helped us pushing the bus, so we got it going again.
Our first stop is a recreation of a famous RL German holiday island, Sylt. I hope we reach it in time before it disappears. It was once the holiday resort of the rich and blonde - but now they are either broke or in Mallorca. That's why Sylt in Second Life is a precious insider tip. There are wonderful waves, free cosy German-style beach chairs and loads of space in the interior for fans of nudism. I don't know whether it is allowed to sunbathe naked there but usually nobody comes by to check on you!
Recycling fever
The inhabitants of our second island speak Flemish as they are from Belgium. You don't know any Flemish? Never mind, me neither!
On Humo you almost never bump into anyone. We’ll visit the cleanest recycling centre in all of SL. If you have empty Absynth bottles left in your inventory, feel free to separate the glass from the paper label and the aluminium cap and recycle them to your heart’s content.
Afterwards I strongly recommend using the Tarzan track right in the centre of the island and then go for a walk around the cemetery. Please pay attention to the names on the graves – all of them are famous music stars! They were even buried together with their songs - click the gravestones for a short audio sample.
Disturbing a cartoon production
Right, I think we’ll dare to visit one more island. But please keep quiet!
Nazooka is next to Humo, and it is simply marvellous. Standing on the platform on Humo, however, we are only allowed to explore Nazooka with our cameras. Avs are not allowed in, presumably because it looks like a set for animated cartoons and intruders might disturb the film production.
That’s just an idea! Feel free to discuss alternative theories on our way home – and I’ll see you next time!

It is a shame that it is impossible to explore Nazooka - it intrigues me. Looks like a children's cartoon..
