The AvaStar: What is your best feature?

Kit Maitland: I would say (and that's a really hard question!) it's my sense of humour. It puts people at ease around me and keeps me from taking anything too seriously. In both RL and SL, I'm kinda goofy, sarcastic and irreverent. It would be extremely difficult for me to alter my personality.

TA: What would you change about SL?

KM: Seriously, I know there are a lot of complaints and a lot of it is warranted. I know that SL's not run perfectly - but then what IS run perfectly? I think that the ability we have here to control our own environment is unprecedented and that's what makes SL exciting every single day. So I guess I'd really change nothing, I just hope that we never lose that ability here.

TA: What is the most precious item in your inventory?

KM: I have a picture that a very special person just gave me a couple of days ago. I'd say it pretty much tops the list. Clothes and things, it's almost like RL isn't it? It can all be replaced but snapshots here are like snapshots in RL. They're little memories you have with people whom you grow to love regardless of the fact that you don't know them in physical space. Those are pretty precious.

TA: What's the funniest sex story from your time in SL?

KM: The first ever SL sex experience I had. Right in the middle of it, all nervous and so on and someone shoved a bananaphone through the wall! I will forever associate bananaphones with sex now, as a result!

TA: If SL had a president, who would you vote for?

KM: Evie Fairchild! Because if she can keep Phay [Fairchild, DiVAS boss] and me in line and on task, she can do anything.
