DEXTER IHNEN LAUNCHES CD IN-WORLD
Rock and roll dreams come true
MUSIC superstar Dexter Ihnen launched his latest CD with a bang this week.
Ihnen, a multi-award winning artist, recorded the Timescape album with the help of Dave Bennett back in April and even streamed the process into Second Life. This time he was on the grid to party, though, and he rocked the June 1 event to the delight of his fans with his brand of Latin and 70s rock.Birthday treat
The rezz day party held for Frolic Mills and Sky Everett turned out to be a star-studded affair. The presidential suite of the Bellagio Hotel hosted the party which attracted a flurry of SL celebrities such as designers Nicky Ree and LeeZu Baxter. DJ Azu was behind the decks, and drew a large crowd onto the dance floor who pulled off some spectacular moves for everyone watching.

I don't party much but music is one of my favourite parts of Second Life. Such talented people are given a brilliant chance to show off what they can do - I really think Second Life will become the new myspace as the replacement for pubs in band discovery. Have any artists made it big in real life as a result of their in-world performances?
