Scion expands There presence
SCION will expand its marketing presence in There.com by enabling users to drive its new concept cars in-world.
The firm will this week unveil a variety of new features for There members to explore and enjoy. They include an enhanced Club Scion, customisable cars and an expanded line of virtual Scion clothing.Classic style
Scion is set to roll out three new concept cars, the FUSE, t2B and Hako Coupe, which will bel drivable and customisable. FUSE is Scion's sports coupe icon, modelled after the real world car of the same name, while the t2B is a minivan with two rows of bench seats – the name stands for Tall 2 Box. The Hako Coupe, which made tongues wag at the RL 2008 New York Auto Show, borrows from the classic style of American hot rods and adds a uniquely Japanese twist.
Michael Wilson, CEO of There parent company Makena Technologies, said: "The Scion experience is very popular within the There.com community, and the new campaign will be incredibly exciting."
Scion's Adrian Si said: "The marketing potential that virtual worlds offer Scion is truly unique. Virtual worlds fit our target customer perfectly."
